Anna Riddell MSW, RSW
Anna (she/her) is a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist & Guide, with a Master of Social Work from York University. She works from an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed and strengths-based perspective. She uses a variety of therapeutic interventions, with a focus on Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Art Therapy. She also brings a rich diversity of experiences from social work practice, community arts and teaching to her work. She is a certified yoga teacher and enjoys using mindfulness techniques in therapeutic practice, as well. 🧘🏼
Anna believes in developing a strong therapeutic relationship as the foundation for supporting healing and growth. She works with individuals, families and couples experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, low self-esteem, anger, and communication challenges. She is particularly interested in experiences of parenting, blended families, and grief and loss.
As a psychotherapist and a teacher, she is also interested in supporting children and adolescents with challenges related to school, including academic success, special education needs, bullying, self-esteem and peer relationships. 👩🏼🏫
